Business accounts
For regulatory reasons, business accounts require specific validation to ensure compliance. In such cases, the user attempting to synchronize a business account isn't the owner of the account. Instead, they must certify that they have the right to synchronize this account on behalf of the business.
During the synchronization step, in the connect funnel, the user will be prompted to provide the following information:
- The name of the company (holding the accounts)
- Their own name.
It is imperative that the user fills in this information accurately and validates it. Failure to do so will result in the item being assigned the status code 1100
.
To address this situation, you can guide the user to validate their business accounts using the Validate pro items endpoint, which is designed for this purpose. This endpoint enables the user to confirm their authorization and validate their rights to synchronize business accounts.
Data obfuscation
It's essential to note that items holding business accounts with a status of 1100 will have their data obfuscated until the validation process has been successfully completed. This is a security measure to protect sensitive business account information.
